Sunday Clothing Drive

Mar 16, 2022

This Sunday, March 20th, we will be hosting a Clothing Drive!

Decide to donate any gently used clothing items that you haven’t worn for a year. Bring those items to church and we’ll donate them to local organizations together! We'll have a table set up in the Fellowship Hall to collect women's clothing, men's clothing, and children's clothing. Please look for the signs on the tables that will tell you what items go where.

You can bring your donated clothing to the tables against the sanctuary wall in the Fellowship Hall on Sunday!

We're donating adult clothing to Lifebridge in Salem and children's clothing will either go to the Foster Closet or Beverly Bootstraps, depending on their need.

As you rummage through your wardrobe, you may find some items in poor condition that aren't able to be donated (we ask that you not donate things that have stains, holes, or are very well worn). Instead of chucking those items in your trash can, check out these resources that recycle textiles and clothing that may not be in the best condition.

  • Mass.Gov Textile Recovery page has a list of brands and stores that take back old clothes and shoes. It could be as easy as dropping your old clothes off in a bin at H&M.
  • Beyond the Bin Recycling Directory can give you locations of bins near you where you can drop off clothing, shoes, old sheets, pillows and even things that aren’t textiles. These are usually those big metal bins you see in various parking lots.
