Shabbat Dinners During Lent

Feb 20, 2020

**In response to COVID-19, Shabbat DInners will be on a hiatus. Our second Shabbat Dinner on 3/21 has been canceled. Please see more details here.**

This is an opportunity during Lent to take a break from fasting and feast - a reminder that though Christ died, He rose again. We'll enjoy good food, good friends, and a God who is good all the time. We will have three dinners this Lenten season -- one on the 7th, one on March 21st, and our third on April 4th.

We have limited space, and these dinners do tend to fill up quickly, so we'd encourage you to RSVP as soon as you can. Feel free to invite friends, and let us know you're coming by Wednesday, March 4th so we can prepare the right amount of food.

If you are interested in being more involved in the Shabbat Dinners (helping with set-up, decor, cooking, etc.), please contact the Shabbat team at We hope you will join us for a wonderful evening of community and celebration!

Just a few other notes on what to expect:

The Food

Each Shabbat Dinner will feature a different delicious menu (and different teams provide the food). For our first one, Brent Linihan has graciously offered to cook for us!

Most of the evening will be a casual time of connection, but we will take some time for an adapted Sabbath liturgy and a Gospel reading as we remember Christ's sacrifice this Lenten season. Children are welcome to join us!

Hope to see you at one (or all!) of our dinners this Lenten Season!
