Hopeful Timeline: June to September 18, 2022
Goals for this Phase
Clarify & localize our vision, values, and mission statements, decide on a new church name, and choose a new logo and color palette by September 18th.
Details & Timeline
Survey - June 6-20th
We’ll be sending out a survey to current Partners, regular attenders, and local North Shore pastors. Here you’ll be able to tell stories and impressions of our church, vocalize challenges and hopes for the future, and even offer name ideas.
Vision Breakfasts - June 11 (Outside) & June 18 (Fellowship Hall), 10-11:30am
Along with the Survey, we'll offer two opportunities for congregation members to share their thoughts in-person. You’ll be given prompts to voice observations, hopes, stories, and values, and share about what makes our church unique to you.
We're calling these "Vision Breakfasts,” because these are opportunities for us to strengthen, clarify, and localize the vision we love. You're encouraged to attend one breakfast (they'll be two opportunities for the same conversation) - whether you chose to take the survey or not! Childcare will be provided for children 5 and younger! Bagels and drinks will be provided for all!
Data Analysis & Findings Workshops - June 16th, 22 & 22
Church leaders from our Task Force, Staff, and Board will meet with our consultant, Mike Mirza, for several day-long workshops to look at the feedback, stories, and ideas from the congregation to look for themes. Mike will guide the team through a vision and values clarification conversation, as well as the naming process. The team will then present a new name proposal to the Board on August 7th. Once a new name is decided, we will begin logo design!
New Name & 10-Year Anniversary Celebration! - September 18th
We’ll announce our new name and celebrate the past decade+ of God’s faithfulness to our church community with a Fall Kick-Off Party!
