Brookline, Mass., March 1 - Highrock Brookline announced today that Kat Hampson will become its new Lead Pastor following a vote at a members’ meeting on February 28, 2021.
Though we had hoped to be able to gather in person for Easter, pandemic restrictions make that impossible. But we still believe in the power of community! So whether you will be visiting with your pandemic pod, or celebrating with family or friends this Resurrection Sunday, we invite you to participate with us throughout Holy Week in whatever way makes sense for you.
Highrock has several opportunities to engage in the remembrance and celebration of Jesus’ death and resurrection:
On Thursday, we invite you to engage in a participatory liturgy that can be followed at home around your dinner table, over Zoom with your Lifegroup, or on your own. During this time, we'll acknowledge God’s solidarity with us in suffering as we remember Jesus’ parting words to his disciples during their last shared meal together. Our liturgy has been written by Highrocker, Kate Tussey.
Join us in our church building for a self-guided prayer walk, marching with Jesus through 7 stations of the cross. We'll also have an opportunity for you to pick up supplies to participate in our Easter Sunday service! Kids and families are welcome. Please register online.
On Easter we celebrate Jesus’ triumph over the grave – a triumph over not only his own death, but, as His followers, over ours as well. Join us for special music from our Highrock Haverhill and North Shore bands, a life story from Highrocker Sam Marino, a special Kids Corner moment, and a message from Pastors Brynn Harrington and Matt Webel, challenging us to follow Christ out of the tomb and into new life, and to invite others to do the same. Following the service, we'll have a special "Petting ZOOm" where we can connect online and show off our pets at home! Join us live at 10am on YouTube for this opportunity to revive, reflect, and connect as a community.
