Soultraining is an educational opportunity for those who wish to grow deeper in church involvement, theological thought, biblical studies, and spiritual habits.
We are human becomings. In any moment of any day, whatever we are doing, we are becoming. We are becoming more grateful or more greedy, more selfish or more sacrificial, more courageous, or more cowardly. Our whole lives, we are in process of moving toward our old nature - our identity as sinners - or toward our second nature in Christ - our identity as saints. Always, whether we realize it or not, we are becoming closer to one identity or the other. In that light, Soultraining endeavors to help people practice the truths of what we believe in how we live every day so that we may grow more and more toward our identity in Christ.
Seasonally throughout the year, we will offer workshops (meeting once for 2-3 hours) and classes (meeting weekly for 6-10 weeks) led by pastors and lay leaders to learn together in community. Most offerings are free and open to the public.
The goal is that in the end, as we learn and grow together, living as God would have us will feel natural, easy - that our second nature in Christ will become…second nature.
"He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me." (Col. 1:28-29)
