Good News

If you ask a Christian today what the Gospel is, they might tell you what you have to do in order to be saved. But it’s only relatively recently in church history that the good news has been reduced to just what you need to do to get saved. Yes, individual salvation is part of the good news, but it’s just a part. The larger story is that Jesus is the promised and true king, and his birth signals the beginning of a new age! We are invited to celebrate this new king, to be citizens of his kingdom, and to join with him in building his kingdom and spreading the good news.
