Tons of new international students are making the move this fall from their home countries to study at colleges and universities here on the North Shore. But the shocking statistic is that 80% of international students who come to study in the U.S. are never invited into a local home. And we’re hoping to change that for our students here on the North Shore! This is particularly important over the course of the next few months - for so many students, the excitement of being in a new country is starting to wear off, and homesickness is setting in. Part of how we can show Christ's love to them in this season is by truly being a family for them while they are away from their homes.
Here's how you come in: you can sign up to host 2-3 international college students in your home for dinner some night in October (you pick the date and the American dish!) Once we have your registration, we'll match you with an international student. We’d love to help you make connections so we can build relationships that could have global impact.
