*This kicks off with a weekend retreat, followed by 4 consecutive Wednesday evenings, 7-9pm.
Workshop Description: In this workshop, we’ll focus on the thought patterns we learn over a lifetime that keep us from being the people that God has created us to be - away from competition, insecurity, shame and self-doubt (Rom. 12:2) toward belonging and beloved-ness in Christ. We’ll study Scripture, explore our personal stories, learn about our neurobiology, and practice exercises on courage, compassion, and connection designed by researcher Dr. Brené Brown.
Dates & Structure: One Weekend Retreat (May 17-19) at a beach house in Wells, Maine, plus 4 Wednesday gatherings in Salem, 7-9pm (May 22 & 29, June 5 & 12). We understand this is a hefty commitment. Please aim to be present at all sessions!
Leaders: Pastor Brynn Harrington & Transforming Our Minds Alum, Joe Iriana
Workshop Limit: 6 men; 6 women
Reading Required: Daring Greatly by Dr. Brené Brown, The Soul of Shame by Dr. Curt Thompson, and additional articles and chapters as assigned
Cost: $160 will cover the cost of housing and food for the retreat, snacks, books, and material notebook. If cost is a hardship for you, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for a scholarship. If you already own either of the assigned books, please let us know and we will adjust the price.
