One of the most often repeated verses we hear at Christmas comes from the first chapter of the Gospel of John where we read, "And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us." Every Christmas Eve we gather together to remember and celebrate the good news that God came to dwell with those who couldn't otherwise come to him. Our sin and shame prevented us from being with the Lord, and so the Lord took on flesh, and was born as one of us. God came to be with us and among us when it was impossible for us to come to God.
So this year, like we do every year, we'll have a time to gather corporately for worship on Christmas Eve. Like every year, we'll have Christmas Carols and hear the Christmas Story and eat a few Christmas Cookies. We're just going to have a shorter Christmas service (Like 30 to 35 minutes) so that those who are able and willing, can bring the Christmas worship service we just experienced to those who are unable to get out for Christmas. We're still waiting on confirmation back from a few organizations (group homes, nursing homes, etc), but in the mean time, RSVP here so we can get a handle on who's coming and where we can send people.
